Purpose of Organization:
iMUM seeks to create an environment where the arts are an integral part of extracurricular student life. Through a wide range of activities we seek to create community with a vibrant and active group of students who are interested in the arts, not only in an educational setting but also beyond the walls of the studio and classroom. We plan to be involved in the community around us, the campus community, the city of Middletown, and the region. We will achieve our goals through field trips, site specific projects, public art projects, exhibitions, fund raising, and community outreach projects.
Membership:
- Membership is open to all current Miami University students and faculty.
- In order to participate in group projects and events members must attend meetings regularly.
- Members must attend 3 meetings to gain voting status on group votes.
Officers and Duties of Office:
Duties of officers include but are not limited to the following-
- President- Final approval and veto of group projects and activities other than those put to a vote.
- Vice President- Preparing activity and event plans for presentation to the president and overseeing implementation of approved plans.
- Treasurer- Handling incoming and out-going budget items and material requisitions.
- Secretary- Keeping non-financial club records such as minutes, event plans, membership records, etc.
- Representative- represents club at student council meetings.
Meetings:
Meetings will be held bi-weekly at a time set in accordance to the general availability of the membership. Additional meetings may be set or called in order to accomplish projects, plan for events, etc.
